Introduction - Steven Gerrard

First of all let me introduce myself for the people who do not know me. My name is Antony Jackson, preferably known as Jacko, AJ, Ant and many others. I am a huge football fan and this is the main reason as to why I've made this blog. Here, I can rant on however much I want about whats ticking me off in football, as thats what the blog will mainly be all about.

I'm from Liverpool, a true scouser through & through. I'll follow my team till the day I die. However, I am by no means biased. So that means if I believe United are going to win the league, I'll say they are. I don't just support my team or follow my team, I support and follow football as a whole. I live & breathe the game ever since a young age. I'm always entertained by it even if its just a small conference team.

Anyway, moving on swiftly. Being a Liverpool fan, there is obviously some downfalls, especially at the moment. Not only is our club in debt but three of our most important players are out. Gerrard. Torres. Yossi. Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse I open up the paper to see an article about Steven Gerrard reportedly leaving the club he's been at for two decades. Its not the first time we've read an article similar to this. It wasn't long ago he was on the verge of leaving to go to Chelsea and who can blame the guy? I don't think its about the money, its purely about wanting to win the league and I can honestly say as a Liverpool fan, right now, we are miles away from accomplishing this.

So who's in for him this time?

Well, according to the mail its Inter Milan & Manchester City. You can basically rule Inter Milan out of the situation immediately. I highly doubt Gerrard would take his family over to another country and change his lifestyle for what, another five years, seven at tops. Then there's the other option in Manchester City. A club which, with the amount of money they have, should win the league this year? Chances of it happening? Not many. They arent consistent. It takes time for players to gel. We all witnessed that with Chelsea a few years back. So why would Gerrard move to another premiership club that isn't better than the one he's at? This is where we find out what a footballer really wants...

Is it about the money or is it about the game?
